Burn Fat
Burn fat the healthy way of doing it
Adding some fat-burning food to the diet plan besides regular exercise helps in trimming the waistline.
The food category containing protein and fiber is apt for burning fat around stomach.
It becomes even more pertinent considering the fact that protein digestion requires more energy than fat digestion, thereof burning more calories.
Egg is a rich source of fat-burning protein.
There are many misconceptions about cholesterol content of eggs as two eggs a day carry more cholesterol intake than the recommended amount.
Research studies indicate that dietary cholesterol has slight effect on blood cholesterol. It is in fact the dietary fat that jack up the cholesterol levels. Remaining on a safer side eating egg white alone can provide the necessary protein.
The vitamin B12 in eggs is a key component that facilitates breaking down and burning of fat.
A few Dairy Products Containing Low Fat
Some articles, also endorses this fact as by stating that the women consuming low-fat dairy products, 3-4 times daily like nonfat yogurt and low-fat milk, lost 70 percent more fat than low-dairy dieters.
The study done at Purdue University also substantiate that those who consumed 3 cups of fat-free milk put on less weight during the next 2 years than the group consuming a low calcium diet.
Thereof, the dairy products not only strengthen the bones but also burn the unwanted body fat.
The regular consumers of dairy products should just watch the proportions they are consuming or they should better switch to low or no-fat range.
Beans
Another food category rich in protein, fiber and iron is beans, though they are often associated with the gastrointestinal disturbances.
Navy beans, White beans, Kidney beans and Lima beans are some of the best available beans.
However, the baked and refried beans should be limited to non-existent in the diet plan as refried beans contain saturated fat while baked beans are loaded in sugar. Thus besides protein they will contribute unwanted fat and sugar.
Another significant point to remember is to thoroughly cook the beans as they contain certain protein that our digestive system is unable to break down which can in turn stimulate gastrointestinal activity.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal, though are not the tastiest food, has some great nutritional qualities.
Oatmeal is rich in soluble fiber that helps reduce blood cholesterol by flushing bad digestive acids out of the system.
The best kind of oatmeal to eat is unsweetened and unflavored; not the ones containing apples and cinnamon flavor and then adding load of butter and sugar to them. The best way to sweeten the bowl of oatmeal is by adding fruits or honey. Oatmeal is also beneficial in fighting colon cancer and heart disease.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is amongst the good fats category that burns fat and keeps the cholesterol down.
It is rich in monounsaturated fat, a type that according to researchers provide outstanding health benefits. One ounce of extra virgin olive oil contains about 85% of the daily value for monounsaturated fat.
Now many dieters prefer extra virgin olive oil over orange juice in the morning
Whole Grains
Though the world is running away from pastas and sliced breads, excluding the carbohydrates from the diet plan totally is not a good idea as the body requirement will then carve for them.
The processed carbohydrates including white breads, bagels, pastas, and white rice are the one to avoid. None of the above mentioned food reaches your home without being processed, thus stripping out all the nutrients leaving loads of starch alone.
The key is to eat "whole grain" foods because they contain the fiber and minerals the body needs. One should buy the bread labeled whole grain instead of the one labeled "wheat" as regular wheat bread lack in vitamins and minerals. Manufacturers in fact add molasses to it so it turns brown.
Different Kinds of Meat
Turkey and beef are great for muscle building and boosting the immunity.
Basted turkeys are usually injected with fatty substances while beef contains saturated fat. Thereof, only buy the beef carrying "loin" or "round" on their labels.
Salmon and tuna are also good sources of protein and Omega 3 fatty acids that gives boost to the immune system. These should be included in a diet plan at least 3 times a week.
