Unable to keep the weight away? The cause may amaze you.

Ever imagined why a few people have no problem maintaining ideal weight where as the others are making desperate efforts to keep off extra weight.

Most people don't understand this, but there is a direct link between weight loss and self-assurance, but not the way you may be imagining.

Now, before I take a start, I am making this clear that this article is not for all those who are obese. In some the cause may be hormonal or gland issues. In others genetics may be the root cause. Or may be, they neither have time for exercise nor they have ever considered it an issue.

Moreover a large number of obese people don't understand that improving on their self assurance will result in simplifying the weight reduction process and assist in keeping off weight for a longer duration.

The big misunderstanding is...

You usually assume that you feel depressed because you are obese. This may be true partly because weight leads to pessimistic mind set, but are you thinking deep enough to find out the primary cause of your obesity

A number of times it is because you have used food to assist in tackling depression, pessimistic thoughts or a lost self respect. So this is how you put on unwanted weight.

Reducing your weight is a never-ending battle in this case because you are not dealing with the actual cause, so you keep on taking unwanted food and don't exercise. Until you don't concentrate on this, reducing weight would be an everlasting struggle as you keep on using food to get relief.

You must address the root cause. Overeating may only be an indication of a larger hidden problem. Are you in the middle of divorce proceedings? Did somebody abuse you? Do you consider yourself inferior match to others? Do you always consider yourself less worthy? Why are you gloomy?

When you actually like yourself from within and you have confidence in your abilities, reducing weight becomes a relatively simple task because you don't have the pessimistic feelings of sorrow and low self esteem etc

You must keep your attention on working up to a healthy physique, as this is for your own personal satisfaction (not for your partner, friends etc.)

Unless you discover the art of being content with what you are, you will always feel gloomy and dissatisfied with the deficiencies in your life. You may shed some weight for the time being but only to take it on again.

As you lack confidence in yourself and your life, it is hard to stay focused on eating healthy, exercises and to carry out all the activities you require to reduce weight. You are always worried about self-pity and gloomy matters of your life. So the common weight reduction plan becomes a persistent struggle.

There are a number of companies who are campaigning about recent diet pills or wonderful answers to weight reduction. It is my desire that they should try to educate people about the reasons for their weight problems and help them deal with the root cause initially.

When you understand to deal with the basic cause first, you will come to know that it is much simpler to make exercise and eating healthy, a primary concern.

So don't just attribute your weight problems to unhealthy eating habits, look beyond and find out why you take refuge in overeating rather than taking care of your negative self esteem.

The long lasting answer for weight problems lies in self-assurance and in an in a modified lifestyle.
