Your Love Handles Need A Workout Too!

The chubby which is enclosing your stomach is called "Love Handles", which is the part you can't get rid of.

Being called "Obliques" anatomically, this part of the body is usually ignored while carrying out different exercises to tone up the abdominal muscles.

According to my own rules, it is difficult for me to support the exercise programs of long intervals, especially when the toning of abs and stomach is concerned. As there is a need of your raised metabolism to burn the "Love Handles", the "Spot Toning" method will also remain ineffectual. It includes the whole body fitness and losing of weight from the whole body too.

Infact, I have been repeating it since the start, and in every article, but this is the basic misunderstanding on our part that we don't have the complete knowledge especially when the toning of abs is concerned. Your whole body will be shaped up when you start the workouts.

Begin by doing a cardio exercise program at your place, by whichever way possible, either buying a DVD suits you the best or subscribing to WorkoutPass.com would be your choice.

Leg Flutters

A strong back is what everyone must have. But another misconception among people is that they don't understand that it is also needed when it comes to the toning of love handles and abs muscles. This way the fat stored at your back can also be reduced.

1. Lie down on your stomach, lifting your head slowly upwards. 2. Your arms should be either at your sides or you can bend them with the elbows at rest at your sides. 3. After lifting up your knees and legs, flutter them front and back in the air at a rapid speed. Continue for 20 seconds, then give a 20 seconds break and then repeat the same flutter again.

Twist Crunches

In this workout, the inner and outer obliques are worked along with the rectus abdominus. These two muscles, located at your waist, have the fat stored on them which create the "Love Handles".

1. Lie straight on your back and bend your knees.
2. Place your hands at the back of your head without locking the fingers with each other. Lift your head upwards, slowly.
3. Stretching your left leg straight outwards, bring your left elbow closer to the right knee, by bending towards right.
4. Repeat the same for the other side too. Bend left to bring closer your left knee and right elbow, and stretching the right leg out.
5. Do the workout for 20-25 times.

Trunk Twists

If you want to burn the calories and fat stored at your middle part of the body, this aerobic-type workout is the one to do so as it brings the heart rate up.

1. Stand straight, with knees almost a foot away from each other, and relax your knees.
2. Bend your upper part towards left keeping the lower body firm in its place. While bending towards left, make a punching position with your right arm in front of your body.
3. Bend towards right and cross the left arm now over your body in a punching position.
4. Repeat this workout 100 times.

The end result

It is usually advised by the aerobics instructors also, that is you want to tone up your "obliques" you'll have to bring up the metabolism rate by a regular exercise done 3-4 times per week for 30 minutes duration at least. These workouts must be inclusive of sit ups, crunches, and the aerobic-types to increase your heart rate.
