Tummy Flattening - Try Pilates Exercises

This exercise technique is developed on the work done by Joseph Pilates. The main focus of this system is to strengthen the abdominal muscles and to make the posture better, along with increasing the flexibility of the muscles.

This work out requires attentiveness and concentration in addition to the harmony of movement with breath. This approach helps balancing of mind and body too.

The Pilates method works exquisitely well for the people who want to shape up their tummy and abs. This procedure makes the whole body trim and smart. As have been stressed upon a number of times before, I would still reinforce the idea that you cannot have beautifully toned up abs without having a beautiful body too.

The "Spot Toning" method does not exist. In order to be lean you are supposed to do the workouts for the whole body, that is why the Pilates approach is ideally good to work on.

The different Pilates workouts are easily available according to your requirements, especially those focusing exclusively on the toning of abs. The one I bought from Ana Caban is the Abs Workout which is neither difficult in carrying out nor long in duration, and is done easily.

In this video program, there are two levels. Ana is conducting the advanced program, and if being a novice, you want to start from the beginning; another girl is conducting the beginner moves, which are simple to be followed. A best advantage of Pilates is that the outcome is fast if you do your workouts regularly.

In contrast to other several fitness program, the Pilates does not support the quantity of workouts. It rather prefers the quality of the moves and limited repetitions.

So the alternate of 50 leg raises would be a simple set of leg raising methods in sets of 2-4. Working them in lesser quantity does not make you tired and you are able to concentrate on the moves.

For your workout plans on abs toning, I would suggest here some very good Pilate's exercises, mainly from Ana Caban's DVD.
